  3. The album features the minor hit "Rock & Roll Stew" and the title track, which received heavy FM airplay. This is the only original Traffic album to feature two lead vocals by Jim Capaldi ("Light Up or Leave Me Alone" and "Rock & Roll Stew"). His only other unaccompanied vocal on a Traffic studio album was "Dealer" from Mr. Fantasy ().Genre: Progressive rock, jazz fusion.
  4. Feb 01,  · In my opinion, the "Light Up or Leave Me Alone" is Traffic at the top of their game every second of the track. This track alone is worth the price of admission, however, the entire album is a solid spin. Over 40 minutes worth of music divided by a 4/5().

  6. Reportedly released as an effort to undercut bootleggers following a world tour, Traffic: On the Road was the band's second live album in three years. The album chronicled a late edition of the band in which original members Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, and Chris Wood were augmented not only by percussionist Reebop Kwaku Baah, but also by a trio of session musicians from the famed Muscle .
  7. I now know they played the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago in February on the tour documented on this album. The recordings are from Germany in April. So ON THE ROAD serves as a momento of a concert I never saw. The best tracks are "Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory" () and "Light Up Or Leave Me Alone" ()/5().
  8. Recorded live on tour in Germany. Printed in England. 1st cat. number on cover, 2nd on labels. Very similar but different from Traffic - On The Road, Traffic - On The Road and Traffic - On The Road Full laminated gatefold sleeve/5(2).
